Allison Sloben - RALEIGH, NC

Allison has vast experience treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions throughout the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics. She has 24 years of clinical experience and is Board certified in her chosen specialty of orthopedics. She specializes in treatment of the shoulder and spine utilizing manual therapy and exercise dosage.. A veteran endurance athlete competing in running, triathlon and adventure racing she has a genuine interest in helping people reach their full potential in everyday life and making health a priority.
Allison graduated with her Bachelors degree from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1989 and immediately followed with her graduate work at Touro College School of Health Sciences in NY. Her work culminated in a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1992 with Dean’s List awards. She then moved to San Diego California to begin her career and continue her passion for continuing education by attending the Ola Grimsby Institute for an advanced residency program in manual therapy from 1998-2000.
With her dedication to learning Allison has been guiding future physical therapists at the University of St Augustine, San Marcos CA campus by instructing courses related to Anatomy and Biomechanics. She has been mentoring physical therapy and biomedical engineering students in the clinic as a Clinical Instructor. A desire to advance the field of physical therapy and develop evidence based practice brought Allison to the ucsd Muscle Physiology Department shoulder group. As a clinician research scientist she contributed to the multi disciplinary group in the area of orthopedics, radiology and biomedical engineering.
Allison and her family relocated to Raleigh North Carolina in the fall of 2016. She has been busy exploring the area with her two boys and finding new running trails.
