Recently, AARP's efforts have helped increase vital resources for programs that serve a growing number of older North Carolinians and their family caregivers, fought back excessive utility and insurance rate increases, helped fight fraud and scams, and have spurred changes in communities across the state to make them friendlier for all ages. We offer:
- Advocacy to support family caregivers and improve access to home and community-based services that allow people to stay in their home as they age.
- Resources to help you protect yourself from identity theft and scams through workshops and fighting for stronger laws to prevent fraud and elder abuse.
