## Neighborhood

Right next to the apartment, there are Lisbon's lively Praça do Rossio, Baixa and Avenida da Liberdade, as well as our "Broadway" (Rua Portas de Santo Antao) where you can find traditional theatres, musicals, concerts, etc...

Nearby, you have the house where Amália Rodrigues was born, the most famous interpreter of the Portuguese traditional music: "Fado".

You will also be able to take one of the picturesque Lisbon trams to come home - "Elevador do Lavra".

You can easily walk to Chiado (great for shopping), Terreiro do Paço, Rua Augusta (featuring the famous Rua Augusta's Arch), Castelo de São Jorge and its lookouts (the castle that overlooks the river and protected the city from external attacks) or Cais do Sodre train station where you can take the train and reach our charming beaches in 25 minutes (Carcavelos, Oeiras, Estoril or Cascais).

Bairro Alto is also within walking distance and gives you access to the most trendy night places and hipster streets in Lisbon where people drink and socialize outside, enjoying the warm evening summer breezes.

Avenida da Liberdade features several rooftops, terraces, restaurants and esplanades for cocktails and relaxing evenings with a view over the river and the scenic landscape of our Golden Gate-like bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril).

## Transit

It is very conveniently served with public transports such as taxis, bus, metro (Restauradores or Martim Moniz) and train (Rossio), all within a 5 minutes' walk.

Parking is available free of charge every night and weekends on the street, but if you are flying to Lisbon airport, it takes only 30 min by subway, or a 15 minutes taxi drive.

## Notes

- City tax and ID: Government mandated city tax of €2 per person per day (except children under 12 years), will be charged to you at check-in and your Govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws. Please note city tax is only applicable for a maximum of 7 days continuously, we do not accept cash.

- The apartment is located on a ground floor and therefore street noises may be present during busier hours.

-Electricity: It is fairly common in Lisbon for the electricity to trip if more than two high wattage electrical appliances are being used at the same time. Please keep this in mind when using appliances like heaters, washing machines, hairdryers, kettles, toasters, fans, etc. Guests will be charged €40 if the electricity trips due to overuse.

-Check-in and keys: please note there will be a €25 fee for check-ins before 8 am and after 8 pm

- If guests lock themselves out of the property OR they do not place keys in the lockbox at checkout, a 50€ fee will apply. If a guest loses a set of keys during their stay, an 80€ fee will apply.

-Please be eco-friendly and turn off all the lights and electrical appliances when you leave the apartment.

This apartment is located in Lisbon City Center, a neighborhood in Lisbon. Lisbon Cathedral and Jerónimos Monastery are notable landmarks and Lisbon Oceanarium is a popular area attraction. Lisbon Geographic Society and Torel Garden are also worth visiting.
