Welcome to our one of a kind mountain home in the Pocono Mountains! Our seven-bedroom home accommodates 18 adults comfortably. It is a perfect getaway for multi-generational family gatherings. (Sleeps more than 18 if smaller children)
During your stay enjoy our well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and four living areas. Watch a movie in front of the gas fireplace on first-floor family room with DVD and surround sound or escape to the loft to read a book. There are 8 internet based TVs and mesh WiFi throughout the house. In colder months, stoke the wood-burning stoves that are located in the main living area and one in the garage/playroom (firewood is included). Entertain on our large outdoor deck with pergola covered dining area for 10, a gas grill, cocktail table/fire pit w/ 4 Adirondack chairs, and panoramic view of the back yard and woods. Hang out in our tiled and heated, three-car garage, which functions as an additional entertainment area with ping pong and Wii. Relax in the indoor hot tub room with 6-person jet stream Jacuzzi. There is something for everyone!
The house has central air conditioning in 3 different zones. The garage/playroom does not have a/c. The basement area does not have a/c either but is partially below ground and is cooled sufficiently.
Within the village, there are many activities for children, adults, and families sponsored by a full-time recreation department. It is only a 5 min walk to one of our private community beaches and lakes. Enjoy a picnic at the beach and play horseshoes or shuffleboard. There are also tennis courts, baseball/softball fields and basketball courts located in the village. Walk around the corner to the clubhouse where there are social functions such as Bingo, ice cream socials, themed dinners, as well as cookouts and campfires. In the winter, enjoy the community ski hill, snow permitting. All village activities require a guest badge that is available at the office for a nominal fee.
Outside the village, you are located 10 minutes from Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski areas (discount lift tickets are available in the Locust Lake Village office) and 25 minutes from Camelback Ski area in the winter and Camelbeach Water Park in the summer. The Pocono's main shopping area, The Crossings Outlet Center, is about 25 minutes away. There are 5 quality golf courses within 15 miles. State hunting lands are close by as are horseback riding stables. Local attractions include Pocono International Raceway NASCAR racing, Bushkill Falls, whitewater rafting, and canoeing.
