Walking into MoeJoe's is like stepping out on New Orleans' Bourbon Street. Complete with wrought iron, street lanterns, and false building fronts with balconies. The ground floor definitely delivers on the Bourbon Street experience. The lower level, dubbed "The French Quarter Subterranean Speakeasy", is everything it claims to be. This nighttime hotspot has all the makings of a French Quarter speakeasy. The basement lounge boasts a horseshoe bar, lantern lights, and a fireplace with leather club sofas. The cuisine consists of two major styles. A portion of the menu is of Caribbean influence like Jamaican jerk chicken with mango relish. MoeJoe's, however, prides themselves in offering the most authentic of Cajun cuisine. Jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and whole boiled New Orleans' style crawfish are just a few of their signature dishes. MoeJoe's is simply the best Cajun cuisine. Cajun cooking is spicy, but for those who prefer a mild meal, MoeJoe's also offers many classic Southern dishes. Such as, homemade fried chicken, catfish, smoked ham steak, and a center cut New York strip steak which is marinated in Coca Cola and topped with a bourbon sauce that will blow your mind! If a sandwich is what you crave then you will have to try a Magazine Street Style Po Boy. Po Boy varieties include original steak, catfish, chicken, shrimp, and crab cake. For desert, sample homemade beignets and a cup of the house Joe which happens to be Starbucks Caffe Verona! For the thirsty, MoeJoe's offers tow full bars serving classic and exotic cocktails.
