Video Biography On Harry Walker a.k.a. The Music Man
“Harry Walker is an inspiration.” After working for over 30 years, Harry joined a big band, the Silvertones, which was started by a friend of his. Around that time, Karaoke tapes became available, so Harry bought some tapes and recording equipment and he began recording songs that he had always liked. But, he soon found out that he did not like many of the pre-recorded tapes. One day, Harry went to a music store. Harry saw a keyboard and said, “Here is a keyboard that even a non-keyboard player like me could play. Chords with one finger!” Harry said, “I can make my own background tapes!”

Harry started playing at local nursing homes and other senior gatherings. People responded very well to Harry's performances and his audience named him, “The Music Man.” Since then, Harry refined his songs by having his professional musician neighbor, Jim Cheadle, put piano and Hammond organ tracks on top of his rhythm and keyboard tracks. Harry then went to Jim’s studio and added the guitar and vocal tracks. This was the birth of, Homebrew One. Copyright 2001.
