Most beef purchased in the local supermarkets is shipped from somewhere in the Midwest, where thousands of animals are raised in “feed lots”. Many of these animals are given growth hormones to make them larger and grow faster which increases weight and profits. Our cattle are locally farm raised and are never given any growth inhibitors which insures the highest quality. Naturally raised beef is leaner and results in higher levels of beta carotene, vitamins A & E, omega 3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is an anti-carcinogenic.
