Welcome to our vacation home, situated in the gated golf and lake community of Lake Wildwood, near the historic towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City in California's famed gold country. This is a wonderful retreat away from the hustle-and-bustle of normal daily life, particularly in more populated areas. Come for a romantic getaway, a quiet foothill retreat, or a fun few days away with the family. The house is the perfect staging spot to explore the area -- Grass Valley and Nevada City are a short 20-25 minute car ride away, while the historic covered bridge at Bridgeport and the South Yuba State Park are even closer. Or stay within Lake Wildwood to picnic and play in the water at one of the five beach parks available to the community. The nearby Western Gateway park features a challenging 18-hole disc golf course for the Frisbee enthusiasts, as well as many other amenities on its 87 acres.
It's important to note that part of the appeal of Lake Wildwood is the quiet, peaceful environment that it fosters. Neither our home nor the neighborhood are suitable for loud groups or parties. For those needs, there are other rentals in the greater area that provide a better fit. Some examples of visitors who have enjoyed what we can offer are guests visiting friends or relatives who reside here, couples who may have an interest in buying their own home and want to explore the community first, and families looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway.
