Breathe the crisp, clear air of our woodsy property. Enjoy being below the snow line, but within a short ride to 12 Alpine and 3 Nordic Tahoe/Reno ski resorts (between 56 to 96 miles away).
Enjoy soaking in the hot tub under the stars at night and access our year round creek, just a short, but mildly challenging walk during the day. There are several rustic trails along this parcel that would allow you to experience very private nature walks. Additionally, guests will find an extensive Hiking Guide in the unit detailing dozens of National Forest and locally maintained trails throughout Nevada County, as well as an additional guide listing the 12 eating establishments within 5 miles of this unit.
Guests can fall asleep with the sights and sounds of water from the creek and a waterfall across the canyon of this listing.
You are welcomed to a newly constructed 500 sq, ft, private apartment with kitchenette, dining/living area (with futon), bath, and king-sized sleeping loft overlooking a private creekside beach. The separate entrance leads to charming nature views as well as a private guest deck with a barbeque and optional hot tub usage. This space is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and respite from urban life.
We are willing simply to offer this space for the adventurous souls to experience the calm and beauty of a natural surrounding or be nearby to share our love for our property and its wonders. The Gold Country is an artistic cultural haven with a bounty of activities. Guests are welcome to lounge by the creek on the deck by the waterfalls to have private picnics and relax and reflect in the peaceful atmosphere.
Located in Penn Valley, this vacation home is in the city center and on the waterfront. Pilot Peak Winery and Pilot Peak Vineyard & Winery are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Nevada County Fairgrounds and Grass Valley-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum and West Coast Falconry are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
