This project involved a major expansion and transformation, in two phases over ten years, of a bland yet authentically 1907 one story stucco box of a house into a Craftsman residence worthy of its’ street, locale, and owners. The material palette of shingles, river rock, and asphalt roofing, and authentic touches like the added sleeping porch, as well as subdued coloring and staining have had many observers, in particular the City’s Cultural Heritage Commission, to mistake the project “one of the premier examples of original Craftsman architecture in the neighborhood.”
