30 Lanidex Plaza Redeveloped for Outsourcing Firm, Meets LEED Requirements

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Oct. 22, 2009 – Solix Inc., a process outsourcing firm serving government and commercial clients, has leased 56,000 square feet for its headquarters at 30 Lanidex Plaza in Parsippany, announced Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. The local relocation consolidates two operations from Whippany to the Class A property, which owner Ivy Equities has completely redeveloped for Solix to meet LEED® green building certification requirements.

Peter Hamburger, Robert Rudin, Walter Schoenberg, Harlan Hollander and Jan Randall of Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford, N.J., office represented Solix in the long-term, full-building transaction. Susan Mason from Jones Lang LaSalle brokered the lease for Ivy Equities.

“Solix hoped to achieve several objectives with its move,” Hamburger said. “They wanted to be in their own building, and they hoped that it would be LEED certified. Of equal importance, they were looking to establish a relationship with a flexible landlord that could work with them to meet their unique needs as their business model grows in the coming years.”

Solix will relocate to the property in two phases this fall and next spring. The company provides solutions for program administration, with an emphasis on eligibility determination, funds distribution, grant administration, managerial reporting and compliance reviews. Solix-managed programs include Internet and telecommunications infrastructure grant administration for schools, libraries and rural health care providers; low-income telephone and electric service discount certification and verification; and support services for the physically impaired.

According to Peter Tyrrell, the firm’s general counsel, the property is well suited to meet Solix’s needs. “Cushman & Wakefield made a great partner in helping us identify a property befitting our corporate culture,” he said. “We are especially pleased to be able to offer our employees a green workplace designed from the ground up to meet our needs.”
