Nestled in the Chequamegon National Forest on Pike Lake, of the famous Pike Lake Chain. Our getaway location offers you the opportunity to experience all the northwoods has to offer. You will be minutes away from some of the best ATV, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, & snowmobiling trails in the state. The chain of lakes (Pike, Round, Amik and Turner) offers waters ready for swimming, boating, fishing, jet-skiing, tubing, sailing, kayaking and more.
You can also kick back, relax, wait for the eagles and loons to appear, read your favorite book or magazine, enjoy the warmth of a relaxing camp fire or wait for the lakes to freeze for great ice fishing.
We have 150 ft. of frontage with a gradual increase in depth. As you enter the lake, it has a sandy bottom. Then in about 2 ft of water and deeper there is muck on top of the sand. Therefore, we recommend wearing aqua shoes for maximum comfort. Fish from the dock, or tie up your own boat. A variety of life vests are available for your use. Two public boat launches are available on Round Lake.
Our cabin, built in 2012, has a modern rustic décor with two bedrooms, one bath, open kitchen and living area. It can sleep seven, and single and queen air mattresses are also available. In addition, the living room couch folds out into a queen size bed. The master bedroom contains a queen bed and a twin bed, while the downstairs bedroom has a new Amish made twin over twin bunk bed, and a new queen size bed. Bath and kitchen towels are provided along with bed linens. Please bring your own beach towels.
The kitchen is equipped with a convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, coffee maker, dinnerware, utensils and pantry items. A washer and dryer are located off the bathroom equipped with all laundry supplies. The great room has a six-seven person dining table, gun cabinet, and a TV with DVD/VHS player with a variety of movies and games onsite. We do have a TV antenna for basic channels and central air to cool off on hot days. Cable, satellite and a land line is not available. Cell phone reception is good for voice and data.
Guests are responsible for cleaning all dishes used by handwashing in the sink or by using the dishwasher before checking out.
No pets or smoking is allowed in the cabin. Any smoking products must be disposed of in the exterior fire pit and not in the road or yard.
The cabin includes a garage area with in-floor heat, and there is space for to warm and dry outdoor clothing and snowmobile/ice fishing gear. Also, you can set your tip-ups in the bay, and watch the action from the cabin during cold winter days.
The cabin garage area also includes a refrigerator and some space is available, but will contain personal items from the owners. Also, the owners have some personal items and storage cabinets in the garage as well.
There are two entrances to the main cabin living quarters: through the garage (main entrance with combination lock, ground level), or by the exterior steps (2nd level).
Firewood is available, along with a campfire ring and patio chairs.
We do recycle, so large plastic and aluminum can containers are located in the garage, and two smaller containers are located in a lower kitchen cabinet. We dispose of any garbage. When the upstairs garbage is full, it can be placed in the garbage can by the garage refrigerator.
A charcoal grill is also provided for your convenience, but you need to provide the charcoal and lighter fluid.
Enjoy your stay while you play!
