IBEW LOCAL 164 HONORS 32 INDIVIDUALS FOR A TOTAL OF 1,810 DISTINGUISHED YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP

PARAMUS, N.J., Jan. 26, 2010 – The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 164 recently celebrated 108 years of electrical excellence by honoring 32 members for their combined 1,810 years of distinguished service to the construction industry. Headquartered in Paramus, Local 164’s membership is comprised of more than 3,900 members, including electricians from Bergen, Hudson and Essex counties as well as telecommunications workers contracted throughout the state.

“These individuals inspire our entire membership of electrical and telecom workers to carry on Local 164’s century-old legacy to provide only the highest level of specially trained, skilled labor,” said Richard Dressel, Local 164 business manager. “Even in these challenging economic times, which are among the most difficult for the construction industry, they show us that with a little optimism and patience, there is the promise of a better tomorrow.”

The following members were acknowledged for 60 membership years: Victor Anderson of New London, N.H.; Robert Bea of Forked River, N.J.; Robert Bowler of Chatham, N.J.; Richard Brothers of Lady Lake, Fla.; John Colo of Biddle, Mont.; Martin DeBouter, Jr. of Odessa, Fla.; Albert Eisenhauer of Moneta, Va.; Francis Koeller, Jr. of Coopersburg, Pa.; Edwin Peters of Sea Girt, N.J.; William Shuff; Theodore Sudol of Sun City West, Ariz.; David Sulc of Brick, N.J.; Victor Zazzali of Scotch Plains, N.J.; and Roy Zimmerman of Palm Coast, Fla.

The 55-year honorees included: Harold Bender of Lyndhurst, N.J.; Richard Bozeat of Prescott, Ariz.; Charles Corello of Little Egg Harbor, N.J.; Frederic Eisenhauer of Jackson, N.J.; Thomas Fulcher of North Arlington, N.J.; Robert Guenther of Clark, N.J.; John McGlue, Jr. of Sea Girt, N.J.; Robert Reinhardt, Jr. of Little River, S.C.; Robert Sherwood of West Orange, N.J.; John Smith of Forked River, N.J.; Charles Stoessel, Jr. of New Providence, N.J.; Raymond Sudol of Walton, N.Y.; William Yaiser of Sidney Center, N.Y.; Thomas Zimmerman of Morehead City, N.C.

Those honored for 50 years of service were: Harold Bace of Belford, N.J.; Charles Herrmann of Sarasota, Fla.; Kenneth Nagel of Galloway, N.J.; and Walter Russ of Perrineville, N.J.
