Daniel Neissany - OLD BRIDGE, NJ

Dr. Dan was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and currently resides in Woodbridge, NJ. Dr. Dan graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in Biology and then went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2007.

Dr. Dan believes that pain does not occur out of the clear blue sky; there has to be a causative factor for the pain we feel. As a result, he utilizes the Selective Functional Movement Assessment as part of the process of healing a patient. The S.F.M.A. is a physical screening process that enables Dr. Dan to not only figure out what is causing a
patient pain, but also allows him to accurately predict any future pain or injury to other body parts. The S.F.M.A also allows Dr. Dan to recognize each patient?s deficiencies and how to individually tailor each person?s physical therapy program. While an exercise program that motivates the patients is used in PT, Dr. Dan is also a strong believer in excellent manual therapy. He utilizes several different types of hands-on therapy that include Maitland technique, Mulligan technique and myofascial release. Dr. Dan is currently working towards his certification in orthopedic manual therapy.

In his spare time, Dr. Dan likes to run, cycle and lift weights in order to stay in shape for duathlons and Toughmudders. Dr. Dan loves spending time outside doing activities such as hiking, skiing or rock climbing. In addition, Dr. Dan spends his free time with family,
friends, going to concerts or going to a sporting event.
