Restaurant Description
This charming room, with exposed brick walls, pressed tin ceiling and eclectic artwork provides an inviting arena for serving up fare that has pleased crowds for eleven years. This cozy spot is noted for serving the finest steaks, chops and ribs, as well as the freshest seafood available. There is a tantalizing selection of salads to begin your meal, such as the "Retro" wedge: iceberg lettuce with vine-ripened tomatoes, red onions and bacon with your choice of Bleu Cheese or Thousand Island dressing. Appetizer offerings include Maryland Blue Crab Cakes, served with a Citrus Aioli, and Almond Crusted Brie with a Calvados Pomegranate Reduction. Entrée choices include Lake Superior Whitefish served with Asparagus in a Champagne Dijon Cream sauce, Baby Dover Sole, Sautéed Frog Legs and Lake Perch. The Filet Mignon and New York Strip are so tender they practically melt in your mouth. Barbeque Ribs and Blackened Pork Tenderloin are popular beef alternatives. The regular menu is enhanced by a nightly special designed to please any palate. Complementing the menu is an attractive selection of boutique wines from California, Oregon, Australia, Argentina, Italy and Spain. Make sure you save room for dessert; the menu offers a wide variety of decadent treats. Enjoy an after dinner cognac or cappuccino at the comfortable bar to complete your dining experience.
