TJ's restaurant's varied menu has something for everybody - Our Menu includes: Soup, salads, daily specials, fish, chicken, beef, pasta, hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian dishes, kids menu and desserts. But all TJ's dishes have one thing in common: they're made to order. "We are not a fast-food restaurant." Everything on our Lunch and Dinner Menu is made fresh from scratch and all meals are individually packed. We have sit-down as well, if you would like to dine-in for lunch and dinner. We don't start cooking your order until you place it, so it always comes to you fresh and hot. Nothing's precooked and sitting around." When you arrive, you'll get a delicious, piping-hot meal ready to take home and eat - no work required. TJ's, which is celebrating its fourth anniversary, is the branchild of two single Swedes: Tony Johansson and business partner Anna Scholin, both Novato residents. Tony is the former owner of TJ's Gourmet Kitchen in San Rafael. Anna began her restaurant career in Sweden before coming to Novato 20 years ago. Her daughter Natasha, 11, goes to Rancho Elementary. In addition to a standard a la carte menu, TJ's features a unique menu of daily-changing specials scheduled four week in advance on a preprinted calendar. Each day's special menu offers a soup and two different entrees. Customers love this. They pick up the new calendar as soon as it comes out, so they know what we'll be making on any given day. TJ's also offers weekday lunch speicals and has several tables for dine in. Hours are Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday & Sunday we are closed
