Homebase Cabin:
The BEAUTIFUL CABIN ON NOGAL CREEK situated on 5 acres, surrounded by huge 300 year old ponderosa pines and maples. Incredible fall color! Wildlife galore, you can't see the turkey for the deer and elk! Cabin furnished with all the comforts of home. The only things you need to pack are your food and clothes and you are ready to get back to nature.
This 2200 two-story 3 bedroom / 2 bath, has two queen beds upstairs with a separate TV area. Downstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed the other with a king. Also downstairs is fully furnished kitchen, living area and two full baths. Lots of windows to see the beautiful outdoors and wildlife. A large covered porch provides the perfect place for morning coffee or evening beverage. Sleeping 8+ this cabin accommodates large families or the couple that just wants to get away. Linens and towels are provided.
Amenities include: Two televisions with dishnet. Land-line telephone with local and long distance and internet service, central heat & wood burning stove and washer and dryer. Fully furnished kitchen with electric oven/range, microwave, coffee peculator, full sized refrigerator, electric can-opener, toaster, crock pot and much more. Charcoal grill for outdoor cooking is provided.
Bunkhouse Cabin:
Our bunkhouse is situated at the base of Nogal Peak on five acres with National Forest on three sides. It is surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines with a natural creek running through the property. If you like camping but prefer some of the comforts of home, this is the place for you. Rustic yet comfortable is this 500+ sq ft open concept cabin. For the is unit 36.
Amenities
The cabin is furnished with four murphy double beds sleeping 8 easily as well as a fully furnished kitchenette including refrigerator, freezer, stove/oven range, and microwave. Large flat screen television with Dishnet programming and a TV and DVD/VCR combo is provided (bring your favorite movies.) There is one sizable bathroom with shower, toliet and sink. Also provided is a telephone. There is no cell connectivity in the canyon and there is no air conditioning. At 8000+ elevation it is rarely needed. Linens and towels provided.
A fire ring is located just below the cabin for campfires. Campers must check with Lincoln County Sheriff's Dispatch for open burning status (800-687-2419). All campfires are limited to the fire ring and must be extinguished with water. A charcoal grill, for outdoor cooking, is provided.
The property is approximately 13 miles from Capitan and 20 miles from Ruidoso.
WINTER RESERVATIONS:
This property is at approximately 8000 ft elevation and can receive heavy amounts of snow. Guest should have a four-wheel drive vehicle to access property. Winter reservations include a special weather related cancellation policy. Full refund is provided (within 48 hours of reservation) in cases where interstates are closed/or property cameras indicate snow levels preventing travel.
