School campus is spread over an area of 45 acres amidst beautiful green forests and wonderful avenues Berkshire County. It has everything necessary for comfortable rest and effective learning: a lot of playgrounds, 17 tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool (25 meters), gym, fitness center, playground for a game of squash, studio sessions for creativity and theater.
Program - Intensive English courses
Summer program Downe House called a "full immersion". This means that children will use language not only during English lessons, but also for all cultural and entertainment events, sports games, excursions and socializing with new friends. This approach significantly increases the effectiveness of learning the language - because children use English in an informal setting that has the most positive impact on its improvement.
Classes are held in intensive, but fun atmosphere in groups of 6-7 people (maximum 10 people). Participants of all ages attend 32 lessons per week. The first half of the day is devoted to working out the basic aspects of language (grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking) on the afternoon of children choose they are interested in a workshop: Film Academy, pop music, drama, spoken English, fitness, fashion, and design, English culture, journalism, debate, exam preparation or business English. The training program also includes 2 individual lessons per day.
All participants summer programs (6-18 years old) are divided into four groups depending on age. Each group has its own schedule of classes in English and cultural and recreational activities. The smallest children are given extra attention by the experienced staff and teachers.
