First, the most common out of all binding services to choose from is "Saddle Stitch"- It may seem silly to mention, but staples are, by far, the most common way people bind documents. Staples are functional and work well for simple binding needs; however, staples are probably not the best choice when you’re soliciting new clients and need to make a great impression. We also offer "Spiral or Coil"- spiral binding is another popular method and it is used for marketing materials, reports and more. When using coil or spiral binding, you insert the coil through holes punched in your document. This can be done either manually or with an inserter. "Screw and Post" - similar to swatch books
Screw post binding are traditionally used for binding photo albums, swatch books, and wine menus, but are also great for binding oversized documents like manuscripts or blueprints, design portfolios, and scrapbooks. Posts are perfect for almost any application where loose pages need to be kept together in replacement of a traditional corner staple for sheet motion versatility. Why limit yourself when you have more options available for your needs. "Perfect Binding" - similar to soft cover books. Perfect binding puts all the pages together, roughens and flattens the edge, then a flexible adhesive attaches the paper cover to the spine. Paperback novels are one example of perfect binding. Booklets, telephone directories, and some magazines use perfect binding methods. Compared to other binding methods, perfect binding is quite durable and has a low to medium cost. It can be used with publications that are several inches thick." Tape Binding"- An affordable, easy and practicable finishing option for your book or catalog and documents when you are looking for the perfect binding look without the extra expense. Dress up manuals, handbooks, guides and more with elegant and economical black tape binding. Our strong tape binding process gives your documents a sleek look and is sturdy enough for materials that will require multiple uses at an affordable price. "Wire-O Binding" is also another popular commercial book binding method, and is known by a number of different names including twin loop wire, wire-o, double loop wire, double-o, ring wire and wire bind. A calendar hanger can be inserted during the binding process to use wire-o binding for calendars, wall charts, emergency response charts and other step charts. Saving the best for last, "Comb Binding / GBC"-Comb binding (sometimes referred to as "cerlox or surelox binding") is one of many ways to bind pages together into a book. This method uses round plastic spines with 19 rings (for US Letter size) or 21 rings (for A4 size) and a hole puncher that makes rectangular holes. Method of bookbinding where a flexible adhesive attaches a paper cover to the spine of the assembled signatures is called perfect binding.
