At which point , the VIEWER can ACTIVELY , choose another reading by changing

MARCEL DUCHAMP questioned absolutism in ART ...

THESE painted constructions question the absolute state OR image OR meaning for the art work ITSELF .

THE art work as a sort of QUESTIONING of the VIEWER'S perception of ART .

THESE painted constructions are actually following a sort of DECONSTRUCTION

or SOCRATIC DIALOG with the viewer's sense of WHAT ART actually IS .

SO boys AND girls - this is a SORT of ALLEGORY of PLATO'S cave ...

THE artist serves as a SOCRATIC questioner

the VIEWER is a sort of INTERLOCUTOR

and becomes CORRUPTED by relativism ...

INTERESTINGLY enough SOCRATES chose death ; rather than LIVE an UNEXAMINED life !

the ARTIST is coaxing US to EXAMINE our notions of ART experience .

A definite PARADOX ensues these permutations of paintings as an ETCH a SKETCH ...

TO deconstruct OR reveal inconsistencies and contradictions WITHIN a system

is rather CORRUPTING ... is it not ?

WE must find our own TRUTHS ...

WE must question OUR OWN dogmas

IT is GOOD for US !

PERHAPS ; ALSO we are to question the very nature of the CAVE itself ?
