Dr. Newman is originally from upstate Virginia, just outside Washington DC. She joined VCA Palmetto in 1999. She went to undergraduate school at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and veterinary school at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. Besides having a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine she has a dual Masters degree in Managerial Leadership and Business from Webster University. Dr. Newman has a special fondness for cats (she says 3 is her magic number of cats- Goblin King, Spider monkey and Britches- two can play while one can rest).
