From Here … to There

Opening Reception

The Arts Council of the Morris Area is pleased to announce “From Here … to There,” a group thematic exhibition curated by Jeanne Brasile. The exhibition features twenty-eight artist New Jersey artists working in a variety of media. For this exhibition artists were asked to respond to the idea of from here to there. While the exhibition is organized around the principle of movement, the creativity of the artists was revealed in the way they interpreted the concept. Some interpreted movement literally, while others chose to use it as a symbol of personal transformation, societal change or the mutable character of the materials in which they work. The exhibition will be on display from July 23rd until January of 2010. Join us at the opening reception, Thursday, September 17th from 5:00 to 7:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
