Won Ju is the closest you'll get to real Korean food. Most dishes are grilled over open flame and served in the hot pot in which they were cooked. Owner Hui-Kyong is very particular about keeping the food original to its true Korean origin, but also seeks to meet the growing demand for light and healthy eating. "What makes our food so popular is that it is primarily vegetable and seafood based, with very little fat or cholesterol." What makes Korean food so good is its wide gamut of tastes. Served as they are in Korea, hot pots are a type of stew or soup filled with meats, chicken and/or vegetables in a wrought iron pan, placed on a wooden plate. Another favorite among customers with a milder palate is the appetizer called Hae Mul Pa Jun, assorted seafood with a pan fried green onion.
