World Ice Events produced the spectacular show "Stand Up For Life" starring Oksana Baiul to benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
"A standing ovation for Stand Up For Life. The crowd was brought to their feet at The Richard J. Codey arena in West Orange, NJ saturday night. The show which was a benefit for Susan G.Komen For The Cure starred olympic champion Oksana Baiul and a cast of world class skaters, many of whom are in training for a spot on the 2010 olympic figure skating team. The stunning production was in honor of 1984 Olympian Lisa Spitz a surviver in the battle against breast cancer. Lisa appeared with her former skating partner Scott Gregory for a bow and a small skating duet in the show. The show was hosted by skating superstar JoJo Starbuck and TV personality Ray Ellin. Local officials who supported the event were in attendance including Joseph DiVincenzo county executive and director of Parks & Rec Dan Salvante. The VIP's had quite a treat with the seating on the ice to experience the up close and personal view of skating greats, following the show the VIP's were treated to a meet & greet party with the skating stars. The show was opened with America's number one show band The Infernos and they definitely rocked the house. The production was created by Rosanna (Rosie) Tovi with her company World Ice Events, audience members were unanimous in declaring it was the best show they had ever seen. Stand Up For Life was such a hit that it now will become an annual event."
