Sticky Situations
May 29 through July 31th, 2009
Opening Reception: Friday, May 29th 7 – 9 p.m.
The Midland Gallery of Montclair will be hosting the exhibition “Sticky Situations” curated by Jeanne Brasile. The show will playfully explore artwork created by artists using all varieties of tape and adhesive as an artistic muse. Painting, sculpture, installation and collage will be among the art forms represented, drawing upon the limitless potential of an unusual medium that is usually recognized for its utilitarian properties.
Exhibiting artists include; Gianluca Bianchino, Jose Camacho, Asha Ganpat, Hiroshi Kumagai, Dan Price, Grace Crossman, Ryan Higgins, Keith Gamache and Joseph G. Sabatino. The exhibition will debut in conjunction with the Montclair Gallery Walk (A Little Night Art III), an event that is held twice annually. Galleries all over the town participate in this event which promotes Montclair as an arts destination.
