"Hi everyone,
It's time for the annual outdoor Montclair Center Stage concert with my biggest lineup ever - 8 piece lineup including some big-time players. If there is one event of mine to make all year, this is it!
Weather Permitting
FREE
Sunday July 26
4:00 to 6:00
Montclair Center Stage
Corner of Bloomfield Ave & Church Street
The band will perform melodic contemporary jazz with some blues and funk flavors doing originals from my CD, other originals, and some covers. We'll do instrumentals as well as vocal songs including myself on vocals as well as 2 female singers.
Limited seating provided or eat at one of the outdoor eateries or bring your own lawn chair or just hang out on the sidewalks.
I always have great musicians. I'm especially excited to announce 2 new musicians with world class experience. My new sax player is Baron Raymonde who has performed with Rod Stewart, George Benson, Brandy and many more. Dave Gellis, current Blood, Sweat and Tears guitarist, who also has performed with Stanley Clarke, Meatloaf, Phoebe Snow and more will be featured as a special guest artist on guitar.
Other great musicians in the lineup include Rave Tesar on keyboards and Kenny Schweighardt on bass - both long time foundations of my band that are on my CD. Bill Tesar will be on drums. My son, Tom, will be on guitar as he has been for the last 2 Montclair Center Stage concerts.
Additional vocals will be performed by Diana Liddy who has performed with me in the past and a new vocalist, Julie Hamilton, from NYC.
Additional info of restaurants near the concert if you've read this far: This is a city event and it is not connected to any restaurant. I patronize and promote only the following restaurants near the concert:
Terra Cafe (natural food - sandwiches, salads, teas, smoothies, desserts - very tasty!) which is the nearest restaurant to the stage.
Cianci (more of a full menu restaurant but also with some casual selections - good food too!) which is across the street from Terra.
Raymonds and Taro are further down Church Street and do offer a good view of the concert.
All restaurants on Church Street are BYOB.
Hope to see you there!
