Pet Friendly! We have dogs that stay with us when we are in Minturn so feel free to bring yours!
The space has been carefully decorated with finishes from around the world. A historic building, made of real wood logs. You can walk down the path to the river, and fish, or ski down from vail (if you know the way). We are next to the bus or you can drive 5 minutes to either Vail or Beaver Creek. House is decorated for holidats and is great for 3-4 families with kids or a group of friends looking for a tasteful and fun place to apres ski, relax and enjoy the two greatest ski resorts on earth.
Walk next door to great barbecue, pizza, local drafts, cocktails from local craft distillers, and so much more - I can't say enough about the town and the holiday cheer in the air here during the winter.
Hot tub is great for soaking in after enjoying the mountain life. And the oversized and massive fireplace is amazing for huge wood fires at night with family or friends gathered around. We have had 4 families and a full 15 people here for days - probably doesn't handle 15 adults well, but 8-10 adults and the rest being kids or teens is great!
Upstairs is an amazing and enchanting space with a seperate TV area for the kids to enjoy and leave the inspirational downstairs to the adults. Lot's of areas for different groups to tuck away and do whatever they might enjoy - watch movies on the massive wall mounted TV's, play a game, enjoy a fire, show off your cooking skills, or have the kids get out of your hair and play some games upstairs . All of this can go on at the same time.
Massive (~400 sq ft!) covered patio is great for people watching and enjoying snow storms in the hot-tub. Overall house is 2700 sq ft. including Laundry in cellar, not including cellar is 2500 sq ft- feel free to tune your ski's down there as well at the large ski tuning bench.
Guest access
Whole house - parking spaces on property for 4 vehicles (including garage). PLEASE PARK IN DRIVEWAY OR IN GARAGE - TOWN OF MINTURN PREFERS TO KEEP STREET PARKING FREE FOR SHORT TERM VISITORS.
Also MINTURN HAS QUITE HOURS FROM 10PM ON - we have had some complaints about loud groups in hot tub after 10PM. Please be respectful and help Minturn want to continue to support short term rentals by following the rules.
NO PARKING ON MEEK SIDE OF THE STREET - you will be towed.
Interaction with guests
We are available and responsive via text for any questions, tips, or if something goes wrong and you need our help. We are happy to give you the insider's view/advice or if you want to just chill and disappear in anonymity we won't bother you at all.
The neighborhood
Charm, quant, walking distance, your on main 1 minute walk to 3 bars, and 5 minute walk to well over 15 businesses from local eateries to the minturn saloon!
People put their kayaks into the Eagle River in the easement behind our house. You can easily fish there - Colorado's largest guide service sets up here in Minturn for a good reason (shhhh!)
Getting around
Parking in front of garage for 2 vehicles, and inside garage spots for 2 more cars.
Other things to note
Pet Friendly - we have 2 dogs who love the space. Front yard is fenced BUT during the winter, snow drifts make it possible for animals to easily escape.
