Bearkat Cabin is a mountain vacation destination built in 2014. Available as a long term rental. Rentals that begin in one month must end in another.
It is located 2 miles west of the Homestead resort. It is just 3 1/2 miles from downtown Midway and Ridley's Deli. This mountain retreat has 3000 ft.² for your family's enjoyment. Sitting in a canyon with quiet surroundings and an open view of Wasatch Mountain State Park you will enjoy the solitude of this beautiful Rocky Mountain vacation getaway.
The cabin has five bedrooms and three 3/4 bathrooms, one on each level. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed. The full basement has a futon that opens into a double bed. All bed and bath linens are provided and there are extra blankets, sheets and pillows. In the walkout downstairs are cable TV with 100 channels, a pool table and an area to play games. A second TV is on the main floor. Large decks on the east and west side offer a place to relax or barbecue. The laundry room has washer and dryer. It offers plenty of parking for vehicles or toys (The long driveway can hold at least 8 vehicles).
There are numerous restaurants in the area but when you want to stay in and cook the kitchen is well-equipped with all the basic cooking utensils and pans, a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, and double oven. After you are done you can use the dishwasher or do the dishes in the double sink.
It is a one hour drive to Salt Lake City and LDS Church Museums and Genealogy Library. BYU is thirty miles away. Park City's historic main street for shopping, outlet stores and Olympic Park are just over the hill. Three golf courses are within a few miles: my favorite is Wasatch Mountain State Park with 36 holes of challenging terrain. Utah ski resorts provide recreation opportunities in winter or summer. Hike to Stewart Falls, Cascade Springs or Silver Lake to name a few destinations. Water recreation is abundant: rent a boat or jet ski at nearby Deer Creek State Park or Jordanelle Reservoir, fish the Provo River or start with a class on fly fishing in Heber City.
We do not rent the cabin from December 1 to March 20 as the roads are not plowed.
