The DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier

The DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier matches all the advances of modern technology that includes the modulation techniques and advanced FEC. As these kind of technologies approach the bandwidth efficiencies and theoretical power limits, the DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier uses an advance signal processing technique that can provide a new dimension for bandwidth efficiency.
As the DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier allows an equivalent efficiency spectral by using a lower modulation order or/and code rate, it can possibly reduce the required power in order to close the link and also reduce the CAPEX to allow the smaller HPA/BUC or/and antenna. The DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier can be used alternatively in order to achieve a very high efficiency spectral. As for example, When DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier is used with 16-QAM, it will approach the bandwidth efficiency of 8 bps/Hz or 256-QAM.
When DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier is combined with TPC/LDPC or VersaFEC, it can give you an unprecedented saving in the power utilization and transponder bandwidth. This allows a successful deployment in power-limited and bandwidth-limited scenarios, as well as the reduction in HPA/BUC power requirements.
Automatic Power Control Carrier-in-Carrier (APC-CNC)
The patent pending Automatic Power Control Carrier-in-Carrier (APC-CNC) mechanism can enable both sides of CNC link modems to automatically compensate and measure rain fade and maintain the TCP (Total Composite Power). In addition to that, APC-CNC also allows the modems to share the link margin. For example, a modem in a very clear condition of sky can transfer effectively the excess margin link to a very distant end modem that is experiencing the fade. In this way, the overall availability of APC-CNC is greatly enhanced.
The Dual Band Capability
The CDM-625A supports the 70/140 MHz and 950 to 2250 MHz extended L-band capability in similar unit with an independently selectable receive and transmit IF. This simplifies the stocking and sparing of networks that requires L-band and 70/140 MHz units.
The Packet Processor
The high performance optional Packet Processor can enable an efficient networking of IP and a satellite transport over with a very low header compression, overhead encapsulation, advance service quality and payload compression to CDM-635A. The QOS combined with the payload and header compression ensure the best quality of service with a minimal latency and jitter for a real time traffic, maximum efficiency of bandwidth and priority treatment of critical missions applications.
