Lydia McDaniel - DVM - MESA, AZ

Dr. McDaniel is originally from Sacramento, CA where she attended UC Davis for her undergraduate education and developed a strong interest in neurology/neurophysiology. She moved to the desert in 2014 after being accepted as a member of the inaugural class of Midwestern University's College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, AZ. She was very active with her program, where she founded and was president of the feline medicine club and held leadership positions in student government. Upon graduation, she was awarded recognition for her aptitude in feline medicine and neurology. Lydia completed a rotating internship as Associate Veterinarian with VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona where she quickly realized this was an amazing hospital for collaboration and growth in medicine, resulting in continuation of employment with the Internal Medicine department. Dr. McDaniel's professional interests include inflammatory brain disease and in-patient case management, and she intends to pursue residency in veterinary neurology in the coming years. Lydia's hobbies include cooking for her large family, spending quality time with her pack of animals, puzzle games, and painting.
