Restaurant Description
Sekisui Pacific Rim "I don't feel like I'm in Memphis anymore" is a comment often heard by customers once they have set foot in this east Memphis restaurant. With an ultra contemporary approach, Sekisui Pacific Rim stands out among the restaurants lining Poplar Avenue. The sushi is just as good as that of its sister Sekisui's spread across the city but a number of elements make SPR distinctly different. SPR was one of the first restaurants in Memphis to offer fusion style pacific-rim cuisine. Borrowing recipes and ingredient from the countries surrounding the Pacific Ocean, the cuisine is highly original. Menu highlights include Braised Sea Bass in shiitake-soy broth and Roasted Duck Breast in kiwi/red Thai curry reduction. There's also a tapas menu with artfully prepared smaller portions, perfect for late night dining. SPR is a late night hot spot, serving until midnight on weekdays and until 1:00 a.m. on the weekends. On select nights the high energy atmosphere is fueled by Memphis' best local deejays.
