United States Veterans Support Services

TLS Veterans (legally known as Transitional Living Services) was founded in 1996 and since 2001 has owned and operated New Horizons, a center in Hebron, Illinois, for homeless veterans who want a chance to rebuild their lives. Veterans from WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm and OEF/OIF have participated in our services and have gone on to find employment, reconnect with their communities and rejoin their families.

While TLS remains dedicated to veterans who come to New Horizons, it also:

Reaches out to all veterans and their families, along with others that are experiencing difficulties in meeting basic needs, through a program funded by the federal Department of Labor’s Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program. The program goal is to place the veterans into sustainable employment through job counseling and case management services. .
Operates a drop-in center at 5330 W. Elm Street in McHenry, IL for veterans and their families.
Encourages New Horizons graduates to enroll in TLS-Aftercare, an extension of direct services provided by TLS coupled with referrals to community-based supportive services stabilizing the veteran's success.
