The Bunkhouse is a one-bedroom cottage. There is a large covered front porch with seating and an outdoor fan. The front door opens into the living room, which has lots of comfortable seating and a smart TV. A large ceiling fan and mini split ac/heater keep things comfortable. The living room flows into a compact, fully equipped kitchen. This cabin was obviously added on to in stages, which brings us to the quirky part. The wall dividing the living room from the bedroom still has the framing for what had been windows. The windows are long gone but the empty spaces are filled with pretty stained-glass pieces. There are step downs to both the bedroom and the mudroom. The full bathroom with washer/dryer is accessed from the mudroom. A back door exits the mudroom.
The outdoor area offers an open picnic area and covered pavilion. A swing and firepit complete your options for outdoor enjoyment.
Located in Bastrop County, this cabin is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Buescher State Park and Bastrop State Park, while White Morpha Fine Art Restoration Gallery and Union Station Transportation Museum are cultural highlights. Sherwood Forest Faire and Leesure Lanes are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
