Apple's newest iPhone update fixes a bug in iOS that hackers can lock in users from the Safari web browser and claim a ransom.
The error created a deceptive pop-up window claiming that users illegally downloaded music or pornography, and users were asked to pay £ 100 on their iTunes credit.
One of the fraudulent websites was a mockery to look like the official Metropolitan Police website, claiming that the web browser was blocked when paid.
Fraud has created an infinite loop pop-up entitled "Page can not be opened". If the user clicked the "OK" button to remove the pop-up window, a new window opens.
Because pop-ups contain the entire Safari browser instead of individual tabs, looping effectively becomes impossible to use the browser as long as they do not know that it is a correction to delete website data.
Apple fixed the issue on 10.3 of the latest iOS update on Monday. The defect was disclosed by the security update company Lookout and was released after the software update was released.
