Our practice has roots that reach back to the mid 1960’s. Dr. Paul Appel arrived in Madison from the University of Iowa and started his practice on Monona Drive. He became well known in Monona and the eastside of Madison for his high quality of dentistry and for his ability to bring patients out the "Dark Age" of dentistry, when fear was the overriding feeling of the experience. He taught people how they could maintain their teeth for a lifetime and helped them to do it in a caring, fear-free manner.
