This modernized 1920's log cabin lakehouse in a quiet lake community has all the good vibes of summer camp while still being located in Lynchburg. It blends rustic charm with the comforts of home on a small private lake where guests can enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming or just relax on the screened porch or private dock. Right off of the highway, 5-7 min to restaurants & groceries, 10 min to Liberty U, 20 min to downtown, 40 min to hiking and Blue Ridge Pkwy.

LIVING ROOM: plenty of seating, original stone fireplace with gas logs, smart TV, high ceilings and natural light

KITCHEN: butcher block countertops, stainless oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, cool SMEG fridge, pots/pans, basic dishware

DINING AREA: rustic table w/ seating for 6-8, bar w/ bar stools looking into kitchen

LAUNDRY: guests may access the washer and dryer just off the dining room, life jackets for adults and children

MASTER BEDROOM: king bed w/ Tuft & Needle mattress with lake view, dresser, closet, full-length mirror, ceiling fan

FULL BATHROOM: custom live-edge vanity with double sinks, toilet, shower/tub combo just steps off master bedroom and living room

SUN ROOM: (not climate controlled, but just off living room) kids play tent, kids toys and books

***UPSTAIRS***

TV NOOK- alcove with tons of natural light overlooking the lake, twin daybed that pulls out to be a king size bed, tv, 2 beanbag seats, ceiling fan

UPSTAIRS BEDROOM #1: 2 queen beds, bunk bed with a twin and a full bed, dresser, closet, desk, ceiling fan, lots of natural light, black out curtains for napping

UPSTAIRS BEDROOM #2: (overlooking the lake) full size bed, closet, dresser, ceiling fan

UPSTAIRS BEDROOM #3: (overlooking the lake) full size bed, closet, dresser, ceiling fan

FULL BATHROOM: custom vanity w/ vessel sink, toilet, tub/shower combo

***EXTERIOR***

SCREENED-IN PORCH: outdoor dining table for 6 plus a round table for 4, bistro lights for evening conversation, ceiling fan

BACK DECK: bistro table and chairs for 2, open deck area, propane gas grill

PRIVATE DOCK: 2 hanging "egg" chairs plus 2 wood chairs


***ACCESSIBILITY***
The house is located down a slight incline and requires two steps to get inside. There are also stairs inside the home and steps leading down to the lake, which may make the property unsuitable for travelers with mobility impairments.

***LAKE INFO***
*Please note, no more than 8 guests are allowed at this home due to the size of the septic tank. Bringing more than 8 guests will result in immediate eviction*

Motors are not allowed in the lake, but it's the perfect place to bring your kayak, paddleboard, paddleboat, fishing poles, or just enjoy swimming off the private dock. There are a few floats as well as adult and kids' life jackets at the house for guest use, and we encourage little ones to wear a life jacket at all times (as they have a tendency to wander).

***THE COMMUNITY***
Timber Lake is a small, quiet community of eclectic homes tucked away just off the highway. It's so hidden that many locals don't even know it's there! It definitely has a New England retreat feel, and you simply can't match the peacefulness.

The lakehouse has year-round neighbors on both sides, and It's very important to us to be good neighbors in the community so that we can continue to provide such a restful getaway. We are strict about noise (particularly outside) after 10pm. While we want our guests to have a great experience at the lake, this is not a party house.

***EXTRA GUESTS***
We do not allow non-confirmed guests over to the house for any type of gathering, party, or get-together. Only the overnight guests on the reservation may enjoy the home. We appreciate your cooperation with this house rule and encourage guests to reach out with any questions prior to your visit. 8 people at the home is a FIRM MAXIMUM.

***PARKING***
The lakehouse has parking for up to 5 cars. (4 can fit snugly in the gravel drive and 1 under the carport)

***CLIMATE CONTROL***
The lake house is climate controlled with central heat and air. There is a thermostat downstairs and another upstairs. Ceiling fans help keep things cool in the summer and the gas logs keep the cabin warm in the winter.

The lake is only 40 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway's mountain trails. Whether you just want to take the scenic drive and enjoy the panoramic overlooks or hike the popular Sharp Top trail at the Peaks of Otter, we encourage our guests to enjoy our area's natural beauty.

Liberty's campus is constantly growing and expanding with new construction. For a fun outing, take the kids tubing or skiing at Snow Flex, Liberty's year-round ski slope.
