This studio drawing class is an opportunity for artists (ages 8-12) to learn about the fundamentals of drawing including how to use linear perspective and encourages creativity. Saturday, January 9. Polar Bear Plunge! Are you as brave as a Polar Bear? For the sixth year in a row, the Polar Bear Plunge event is helping to raise funds for Children’s Charities of the Midlands, an organization dedicated to promoting charitable endeavors that are committed to improving the health, welfare and education of South Carolina’s youth. The first splash is scheduled to occur at 10:30 a.m. All participating polar bears must complete a registration form and be signed in no later than 10:15 a.m. at Lake Carolina’s Sunset Park. Sunday, January 10. Horse Trail Rides! Come out to Saluda Shoals Park and enjoy a wonderful walking trail ride through the park. Learn how to horseback ride or simply improve your skills. Riders are required to wear long pants, boots or sturdy lace-up shoes, and helmets which are provided.
