Lake Dallas is a town in Denton County, Texas, United States. It is located in North Texas, northwest of the city of Dallas, on the shores of Lewisville Lake. The community's name derives from the original name of the lake. It is also one of the 4 communities in the Lake Cities.
The population was 7,105 at the 2010 census.

2020 census
As of the 2020 United States census, there were 7,708 people, 2,950 households, and 2,216 families residing in the city.
2000 census
As of the census of 2000, there were 6,166 people, 2,261 households, and 1,666 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,693.5 people per square mile (1,039.6/km2). There were 2,338 housing units at an average density of 1,021.3 per square mile (394.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 89.51% White, 3.32% African American, 0.63% Native American, 0.94% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 3.84% from other races, and 1.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.83% of the population.
There were 2,261 households, out of which 43.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.9% were married couples living together, 12.3% had a single householder with no spouse present, and 26.3% were non-families. 20.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.17.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 30.7% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 37.7% from 25 to 44, 18.2% from 45 to 64, and 6.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 98.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.1 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $51,660, and the median income for a family was $58,370. Males had a median income of $41,058 versus $30,156 for females. The per capita income for the city was $22,526. About 6.3% of families and 6.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.7% of those under age 18 and 16.8% of those age 65 or over.

Transportation
The North Texas Tollway Authority has completed a bridge in August 2009 linking Lake Dallas and Little Elm, Texas. The bridge connects Swisher Road in Lake Dallas with Eldorado Parkway in Little Elm. A bridge previously connected the two cities, but was removed in the 1950s when the United States Army Corps of Engineers expanded Lewisville Lake.
