Esther Zwemer became a physical therapist in 1973 with a BS from Loma Linda University and then earned an M.B.A. in 1991 from Augusta State University. She has had the fortune to live throughout the South and with each move has been able to re-invent herself over a 30 year career, keeping physical therapy fresh and interesting. Esther?s experience ranges from geriatric and stroke rehabilitation, acute hospital and inpatient rehabilitation, home health, a comprehensive chronic pain program, spine specialist and out patient clinics. She has served in the role of a working manager of various clinics and specialty programs as well as a clinical instructor.

As fate would have it, the very aspect of physical therapy Esther feared in the early years has become her joy for the past 10 years and that is the treatment of individuals with spine problems. Over the years with considerable insight based on the McKenzie method of spine treatments and her zealous adherence to proper posture and body mechanics, she has managed to develop a strong and very successful spine treatment program.

Esther is very creative and enjoys treating a large variety of diagnosis in the out patient setting: A variety of pre, post operative and non surgical musculoskeletal system disorders, balance and dizziness disorders, spinal rehabilitation, Functional Capacity Evaluations and Work Reconditioning.

Esther?s vision: ?To provide exceptional rehabilitative care and education through individually based programs that address the clients? specific functional limitations. To empower the clients so they are active partners in conjunction with their physician and therapist to obtain optimal outcomes.?
