As per Section 8 of Companies Act, 2013 a company can be registered with charitable object. These companies work with non-profit objectives like promotion of arts, commerce, sports, education, environmental protection and other social welfare activities. The major difference between any other company and Section 8 company registration is that in the name of Section 8 company word ‘ LIMITED’ cannot be used.
