Educational Qualification
The candidates must have passed the 22th board examines with minimum marks set as 50 percent from a recognised board. Besides schooling, a diploma or a degree is also needed before you can enrol in an ETO course.
Age Limit
Candidates above the age of 35 are not allowed to enrol in this course.
Medical and Physical Parameters
All the standards regarding fitness are mentioned in the documents when you decide to take up this course. The sea can be very challenging at times and people who have a high degree of health are the only ones who will survive. There are days on end when you see only sea and nothing else, which can sicken even the healthiest.
