Goods and Services Tax (GST) replaced the Indian indirect taxation system. The complexity of the GST - which has four tax brackets ranging from a 5% to 28% - is bound to attract a lot of confusion, due to which the tax tribunals in the country have been pre-occupied. Demonetisation and an already increasing backlog have grappled the judiciary in India.
