Post Dated Cheques (PDC) are the cheques that are to be drawn only on a future date. PDC is issued as security for purposes like loans, lease, advances. Dishonor of PDC may result in imprisonment or fine. Post dated cheque validity will arise only from the date it has become payable before that they just act as a bill of exchange.
