Mr. Fleming has been practicing personal injury trial law for over 25 years. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is one of the small percentage of attorneys to have argued and won a case before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Mr. Fleming graduated from the University of Saint Thomas and University of Houston College of Law. Following being licensed as an attorney by the State Bar of Texas in 1987, he worked in private practice before being appointed as an assistant in the office of the Harris County Attorney - the civil lawyer for county government and departments. After spending years in the federal trial division and being selected to lead high-profile legal cases for the citizens, Mr. Fleming campaigned for and was elected to the top position of Harris County Attorney in 1996. He remained in that position until after he was re-elected in 2001 when he returned to private practice. He and his wife, Judge Natalie Fleming, reside in Houston and have six children.
