Suzanne specializes in family residential homes and 1-4 unit apartment properties, typically purchased as an income investment. Suzanne has been managing her own 1-4 unit apartment building for the past 37 years, so her background is quite extensive. She will break down her client's investment needs by assisting them with their monthly income regarding rent and expenses. She is well versed in the local rent control rulings that will help her clients with their newly acquired property. This knowledge helps her clients have a second home with incoming income to offset expenses.
Suzanne went to Pier Ave as the school's last class to enter its famous halls, as well as Hermosa Valley and Mira Costa HS. Suzanne was an avid athlete, from one of the first female baseball players in Hermosa Beach, which took her to the set of A League of Their Own, whereby she doubled for Jeana Davis at home plate. She was The Stuntwomen's Assoc VP and Chaired Women in Film's stunt committee. Along with her being honored with the title of an All-American Surfer. She ranked as the USA's #1 female amateur surfer at 15. She was also inducted into El Camino College's "Hall of Fame" for volleyball. She and her team took the State Championship Title in 1981 & then she went on to USC as a scholarship athlete for indoor volleyball. Back in 1984, Suzanne was catapulted into real estate and took on the responsibility of her family's property management business. It was unexpected, but that opportunity gave her an education in real estate that only real life can provide. She was also awarded the honor of Vacation & Corporate Rentals "Best in Class" three years running 2018, 2019, 2020 and The Hall of Fame for Hermosa Beach rentals. Suzanne previously worked for Shorewood Real Estate as a "Top Producer" and now makes her home here with Vista Sotheby's International Realty. Suzanne remains a resident of Hermosa Beach and her husband, Colonel Darryl Hensley, ret.. He currently works for LAUSD as the head of all JROTC high school programs. Suzanne and Darry recently had the honor of escorting Staff Sgt. David Bellavia is one of our Nation's newest "Medal of Honor" recipients. Suzanne often volunteers for the various JROTC programs helping her husband at his many ongoing events.
