Polished concrete is a mechanical grinding & polishing process that utilizes industrial diamonds to grind the concrete surface down. From there hardeners and sealers are used to level, densify, polish and seal the concrete floor from within the interior of the floor’s concrete surface.

In heavy industrial, commercial or institutional use, an inexpensive re-polish may be needed years down the road, depending on your maintenance. There are many ways for concrete floors to break as they age: rain damage, surface stress, delamination, improper curing, curled cold joints, joint shoulder failure and several more.

The high light reflectivity of polished concrete is another important benefit, especially for office buildings, hotels, restaurants, and other public facilities that want to project a bright, clean, professional image. Ambient light reflection can be increased by up to 100%. This can result in fewer lights and less electricity resulting in continuous savings.
