Brooklyn Nets Assistant Coach Adam Harrington Hosts Successful Sneaker Soiree

Brooklyn Nets Assistant Coach Adam Harrington (left) recently hosted the “Sneaker Soirée” fundraising event for the nonprofit Jill E. Harrington Hanzalik (JEHH) Memorial Fund. The fund honors Harrington’s late sister, and the celebration was held at the Glen Ridge Country Club. Harrington, who also runs Nets’ player development program lives in Glen Ridge. VIP guests included Nets’ Head Coach Steve Nash and player Blake Griffin plus PGA Tour Pro Jason Dufner, Washington Wizard’s Spencer Dinwiddie and former NFL stars. More than 225 guests wore their most ‘iconic footwear’ to the Sneaker Soirée fundraiser. The evening also featured ESPN’s Ryan Ruocco moderating the “Chase Your Dream” panel of elite athletes who shared their insights about how to “think big” and achieve huge goals. Proceeds from the golf outing, gala dinner, silent auction and individual donations will go to refurbishing recreational basketball courts in East Orange, N.J. and Brooklyn, N.Y.
