Water Heater Installation

Water heaters may be used for heating water for bathing, in the kitchen it’s for cleaning, cooking and so on. A water heater consists of a steel tank, insulation for the tank, an outlet pipe, a dip tube, a thermostat, heating elements (in case of electric water heaters), anode rod, drain valve and a pressure relief valve. The tank is where the water to be heated is stored and the insulation surrounds the tank so that heat is not transferred outside. The dip tube is to allow the cold water inside the tank and the outlet pipe is to collect the hot water.

The thermostat plays a very important role of controlling the temperature and therefore, should be checked for serviceability by a repair company. Similarly, the pressure valve is for safety and it ensures that the tank does not burst. The anode rod is for avoiding corrosion of the steel tank. Frisco Water Heater Installation Company should be informed so that we can have a look at the tank for corrosion and the anode rod’s serviceability.

One of the common problems of a water heater is that there is no hot water. In such cases the thermostat may have to be replaced or there is a problem with the heating element. The repair technician must be contacted for repair and replacements. Sometimes a rotten smell comes from the heater. This is a clear indication that sediments have accumulated from the H2 gas coming from the decayed Anode rod. The repair technician should immediately be called so that the part can be replaced.
