The difference between both is simple:

A regular cleaning is a quicker procedure and less invasive, where Dr. Beaufils will remove stains and built up material accumulated above healthy gums.

A deep cleaning involves a number of tools and techniques to remove the harmful plaque and bacteria from below the gum line - this will be considered as a treatment for gum disease or periodontitis that may have developed over time.
