New Refrigeration Technology to Reduce Consumption by Up to 30%
Fisher & Paykel Appliances has announced a revolutionary new refrigeration technology that will not only be more energy efficient by 30%, but also increase storage capacity and improve food quality.
This revolutionary design was designed by Fisher and Paykel and is being produced with Embraco (a Whirlpool Appliances company). The new compressor will be put through extensive field testing and then into mass production. The Fisher Paykel Appliance team says this innovation will lead the refrigeration industry for years to come.
Current refrigerator compressors contain oil and they must be placed upright. This new “green” compressor contains no oil and therefore allows for more flexibility in installation. This all means better energy efficiency for the customer and also more space, allowing space for an entire extra fruit and vegetable compartment.
